This policy explains what Preceptor Sync (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects at https://www.preceptorsync.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are

Our team works remotely. Our service providers store and process data in the United States (see “Who we share it with”). By using the service you understand your information is handled this way.
Information you give us
When you submit the application form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), specialty, preferred location, and anything you write in the notes.
If you apply as a student, we also collect your NP program or school, the clinical hours you need, and your desired start date. If you apply as a preceptor, we collect your credentials, years in practice, and availability.
Information collected automatically
When you submit the form we also record a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (we do not store your actual IP address — the hash cannot be turned back into it), your browser’s user-agent string, the page that referred you, and the date and time. We use these only to run the service and to prevent spam and abuse. We also record whether our notification emails were sent.
We do not collect payment or card details (no payments are taken on the site today), and we do not collect health records or documents.
How we use your information
To review your application and match students with preceptors; to coordinate paperwork with your school; to contact you and send confirmations and notifications; to prevent abuse; and to operate and improve the service.
How long we keep it
As long as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your choices
Email info@preceptorsync.com to access or delete the information you gave us.
Security
Our database is not publicly accessible (row-level security is on with no public read or write access), our service keys are kept server-side only, IP addresses are hashed rather than stored, and the site is served over HTTPS. No online service can be 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The service is intended for adults 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will post changes here with a new “Last updated” date.
